We believe privacy is a fundamental human right. Our business model is simple: we sell software, not data.

No Data Collection

**ScreenAnnotator does not collect, store, share, or transmit any personal information.**

Everything you draw, write, or configure in the app stays locally on your Mac. We have no servers, no analytics trackers, and no way to see what you are doing.

Local Settings

Your preferences (such as your chosen hotkeys, default colors, and tool settings) are stored locally on your device using standard macOS storage mechanisms (UserDefaults).

Permissions

• Accessibility: We ask for Accessibility permissions solely to detect the global hotkey (`Cmd+Opt+A`) so you can open the app from anywhere. We do not log keystrokes.
• Screen Recording: The app draws an overlay window. It does not record your screen content to a file unless you explicitly use a separate screen recording tool.
